DuoSmart (“we”) makes the Duo Smart TV App and the Duo Smart Boxes. We collect as little data as possible. We do not show ads and we do not sell data.
Who is responsible
The controller for the data described here is DuoSmart, reachable at info@duosmart.tv. Write to that address for any question or request about your data.
What we process
- Device details — the device ID / MAC address and device key that the app creates, the app version and the platform. Needed to run your free trial, activate your licence and keep your settings. You do not need an account.
- Playlists — the server details you add on the TV or on this website (URL, username, password, MAC or an uploaded M3U file). Passwords are stored encrypted. We only use them to deliver your playlist to your own device.
- App licences — handled by Stripe. We receive your email address and the payment status, never your card details. We use your email only to send your receipt and to let you move your licence.
- Box orders — when you order a Duo Smart Box, Stripe Checkout collects your name, email, shipping address and phone number so the order can be paid and delivered. We receive these details to ship your order and to help you with it.
- Partner applications — the details you fill in on our partner form, only to answer your application.
- Launch notifications — if you ask to be told when the app is in the store, your email address and the screen you chose. We send you one email at launch and then delete the address.
- Technical logs — error reports from the app and normal server logs (IP address, time), kept for security and to fix problems.
Content
The Duo Smart TV App is a media player. We do not provide, host or check any TV channels or other content. Streams play directly between your device and your own provider.
How long we keep data
Device and licence data as long as your licence is active. Order data as long as the law requires for bookkeeping. Partner applications up to 2 years. Logs up to 90 days.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data at any time: info@duosmart.tv. You can also complain to your national data protection authority.
Third parties
Stripe (payments and checkout), our hosting provider and our email provider. This website loads no third-party fonts, trackers or advertising scripts; your language choice is remembered only in your own browser.
